Correct! Because of the way fibers are aligned in the paper. You can imagine that checking for the fibers in the paper or even cardboard for book covers is extremely important. Just finished a new book design with traditional binding, hard cover and an open back! FYI, decorative embroidery on the spine is also a part that holds the book together. ^_^ And it just took 10 hours.
